Product Management

Products are the core of any seller’s business on BYNDIO. Sellers manage their catalogue from the Products section of their dashboard.

Sellers create new products at https://byndio.in/seller/products/create. The product form collects everything needed to list an item on the marketplace.

  • Product name — The title that appears on the storefront.
  • Description — A detailed explanation of the product. Sellers can format this with headings, lists, and images.
  • Short description — A brief summary shown in product cards and search results.
  • Brand — The brand of the product (e.g., Nike, Samsung).
  • Category and subcategory — Where the product belongs in the site’s category tree.
  • Tags — Keywords that help customers find the product through search.
  • Selling price — The actual price the customer pays.
  • MRP (Maximum Retail Price) — The original/list price. If this is higher than the selling price, customers see a discount badge.
  • Stock quantity — How many units are available.
  • SKU — A unique code the seller uses to identify the product internally.
  • Weight — Used for shipping cost calculations.

Sellers can add specification rows as key-value pairs. For example:

KeyValue
MaterialCotton
Warranty1 Year
Country of OriginIndia

These appear in a specifications tab on the product page.

Sellers can upload up to 5 images per product. They can drag images to reorder them — the first image becomes the main product photo that customers see in listings and search results.

If a product comes in different sizes, colours, or combinations, sellers add variants. Each variant can have its own:

  • Price — Different sizes might cost different amounts.
  • Stock quantity — Track inventory per variant separately.

For example, a T-shirt might have variants for Small/Red, Medium/Red, Large/Blue, and so on.

This is important: products do not go live immediately. When a seller submits a new product, its status is set to Pending. The product only appears on the public website after you (the admin) approve it.

This gives you quality control over what appears on the marketplace. You can check that product images are appropriate, descriptions are accurate, and pricing makes sense before customers see it.

Look for pending products in your admin panel and approve or reject them as needed.

Sellers can go back and edit any of their products — update the price, change images, adjust stock levels, or rewrite the description. They can also delete products they no longer want to sell.

For sellers with large catalogues, manually creating products one at a time is not practical. That is why there is a bulk upload option at https://byndio.in/seller/products/bulk-upload.

Sellers upload a CSV file with product data — names, prices, stock, categories, and so on — and the system creates all the products in one go. This is especially useful when a new seller is onboarding and needs to add hundreds of items quickly.

Bulk-uploaded products still go through the same approval process. They land as Pending and wait for your review.
