How B2B Works
The B2B marketplace is a separate section of BYNDIO designed for bulk and wholesale transactions. It works quite differently from the regular shopping experience, so it is worth understanding the flow before diving into the details.
The basic idea
Section titled “The basic idea”Regular shopping on BYNDIO is straightforward: a customer browses products, adds items to their cart, and checks out. The B2B marketplace flips this around.
Instead of browsing a catalogue, buyers tell suppliers what they need. Suppliers then compete to win the business by submitting quotes. Think of it like posting a job on a freelancing platform — you describe what you want, and professionals come to you with proposals.
How the flow works
Section titled “How the flow works”Here is the step-by-step:
- Buyer posts a requirement — They describe what they need, how much they need, their budget, and when they need it by.
- Suppliers browse requirements — These show up as “leads” on the supplier dashboard. Suppliers filter for requirements that match what they sell.
- Supplier submits a quote — They respond with their price, delivery timeline, and any notes.
- Negotiation — The buyer and supplier chat back and forth. They can discuss pricing, quantities, delivery terms, or anything else.
- Buyer accepts a quote — Once they are happy with a supplier’s offer, they accept it.
- B2B order is created — This generates a separate B2B order with its own payment and delivery tracking.
- Delivery and completion — The supplier fulfils the order, the buyer confirms delivery, and both sides can rate each other.
Who can use it
Section titled “Who can use it”- Buyers — Any logged-in customer can post requirements. They do not need a special application or approval.
- Suppliers — To respond to requirements, a user needs an approved Supplier application. They apply at https://byndio.in/become/supplier and you review the application from the admin panel.
Separate conversations
Section titled “Separate conversations”The B2B section has its own messaging system. Conversations between buyers and suppliers about requirements and orders are kept separate from regular customer-seller chats. This keeps things organised and ensures B2B discussions do not get mixed up with standard order enquiries.
Why it matters for the platform
Section titled “Why it matters for the platform”B2B transactions tend to be higher value than regular consumer purchases. A single B2B order might be worth more than hundreds of individual customer orders. This section of the platform attracts a different kind of user — business owners, procurement managers, resellers — and helps position BYNDIO as more than just a consumer marketplace.
What this means for you as admin
Section titled “What this means for you as admin”Your main responsibilities around B2B are:
- Approving supplier applications — Only approved suppliers can access leads and submit quotes.
- Monitoring orders — B2B orders appear in your admin panel alongside regular orders, but they follow their own flow.
- Handling disputes — If a buyer and supplier disagree about delivery, quality, or payment, you may need to step in.
- Managing subscriptions — Depending on your settings, suppliers may need an active subscription to access leads.
